Lorin Dixon was not with her teammates today as she was back on campus taking an exam. Apparently her teammates were able to postpone their exams until later in the week but she was not.

Geno Auriemma said Dixon needs to stop believing that college is like high school in that her talent will be enough to get the job done. He also said that as of today, he's not inclined to play Dixon against Texas tomorrow night.

With or without Dixon, this will be a real test for UConn. IMO, the keys to the game are Tina & Charde staying out of foul trouble and bringing their A game. Another key will be how the team handles the press. Gostenkors press always bothered UConn big time and I doubt she's forgotten it.

You are right on the money with that. Something I noticed, however, is that Texas' front line has problems finishing around the basket, or at least did so against Minnesota. If Tina, Charde, Kaili and Brittany have big offensive and defensive games, UConn should win by 20+.

Because the Longhorns' scoring is primarily coming through their three guards, the defense of Renee Montgomery, Ketia Swanier and Maya Moore is critical. Since they are such good defensive players, I think Texas will be frustrated. Now, if I'm wrong, expect a game decided by no more than 10 points.
